I am taking this rare moment of calm to write his adventures since the last post. Breathe, stretch, and....
1) He is able to focus on things in front of him. This means he's intentionally playing with toys attached to his Jumparoo. Not just roll his head around from side to side and accidentally contact one or two things. He's really hitting things. Then he giggles. He really likes his black and white art gallery cards (http://www.amazon.com/Wee-Gallery-Cards-Black-Collection/dp/B002VT8DB6/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1349146191&sr=1-1&keywords=black+and+white+art+gallery). Specifically the lion and zebra cards.
Also, he loves to look at himself. Right now, we are just letting him play with this (http://www.amazon.com/Brica-Stay-In-Place-Baby-Mirror-Black/dp/B004L2JJAA/ref=sr_1_9?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1349146300&sr=1-9&keywords=mirror+auto) until I can find a cute one he can hold on his own.
2) He is a very social baby and continues to tell us all about his friends aka the ceiling fan & lights in the room, his adventures in daycare, molecular biology, etc... :)
3) He's grabbing things with his toes. Or when he's really sassy, with both his feet and drawing the desired object closer to his body. Hands, arms, whatever..
4) He's figured out this supported sitter thing. Had his first adventure with rice cereal tonight and he didn't hate it. Rolling? Not so much yet. Still goes from laying on his back to getting stuck on his face. Note to self: keep reminding self that he is ~3 wks early so this is ok..
5) He's adjusting really well to being in daycare. Took a couple of days for him to get used to aaaall the space in his new crib so he refused to nap (he was used to sleeping in the Rock and Play Sleeper during the day but is in his crib for 7 hrs at night). By the end of his first week, he was smiling at his caregivers when we dropped him off.
Within the last month, he went to Santa Barbara, Santa Monica (again), got baptized, hung out in San Francisco with his aunt Jill, and went to Disneyland. :)
