5 (and 1/2) months

October was quite the month of changes and it took a little bit of time for things to settle back down. Andy left for training in FL Oct 3- 17. In that time, R and I figured out a daily routine, fought off stomach flu and managed to fly to OH for a brief catchup with friends while we were in town for a wedding. I'm happy to report that he did absolutely great during the flights - the worst part was managing the car seat (until it was checked in) and then getting my carry on in/out of the overhead compartment... by the time we got to the second leg of the trip (each way), I just gate checked that thing.

We managed to have local adventures too. :) We went took a trip to Temecula for R's first time to a pumpkin patch and corn maze; we also stopped by South Coast Winery Resort and Spa for a quick wine tasting (waaay too crowded and loud for our taste). We braved Argo with the baby and our talkative baby was definitely chatting away during the whole movie - A was not a fan and made it clear that the only way we can go to a movie in a theater again is if we leave R with a babysitter. We carved pumpkins, went to a friend's Halloween party, passed out candy (and brought our little monster to our neighbor's houses).

Tomorrow we're leaving for Utah for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to spending time and catching up with family.

New skills: Last month, R started eating pureed foods - he's a fan of apples, peas, green beans, and bananas so far... peaches not so much. He started rolling to his side independently, pivoting in prone to L and to the R, and catching himself while sitting with support. In Nov, R started sitting independently for a couple of minutes. Today he officially rolled all the way over from his back to his belly and back.
